Wetlands are the most threatened ecosystem of all in South Africa. Salt pans, marshes, lagoons are important as their brackish water and the biodiversity is important for many critically endangered species like Cotula Myriophyloides Dicotyledons, seagrass, eelgrass, the Knysna Seahorse and the Knysna Warbler.
